Okay, today I was searching for “Free text to speech online converter” and I came across a few sites that said things like this.
Before you try any free and unlimited text to speech converter online, you should read this. Or not. I might be right, but I’m not the boss of your naive life.

These are the results that show up on page 1 in Google. There are others that show up as well, but they just say Free. So I’m not checking those out today. I’m just verifying the Free and Unlimited folks.
Spoiler alert. None of the Free and Unlimited are being honest. Let’s start from the top. Also, this is published late May 2025, so it’s possible things might have changed after. But, as of today. This is the landscape.
Luvvoice
SEO Title: Luvvoice: Free Convert Text to Speech Online, No Word Limit

Perfect. Free and unlimited, that’s the perfect deal, right? So let’s head to Luvvoice and check this out.
The first thing you see above the text area is a 3000 word limited. So, while it is free, the “No Word Limit” is blatantly deceitful.

Hold up. It says Login For more. Ah. Perhaps I just need to create an account and get more than 3000 words. Fair. So I created an account, filled with happiness and just feeling optimistic I would be able to paste in more than 3000 words.
What. The logged in version actually went down to 2000 words. When they said Log in for more, they actually meant Log in for less.

This is just silly and deceitful.
Before I continue with the rest.
I can hear you thinking, but is Convert Text to Speech Online really free and unlimited? Yes. The answer is yes to both. And you don’t even have to log in.
But here’s the hilarious part. The voices suck. Well, they are alright. You might find some that are decent, for now. At least, I’m honest about it. It is a silly project. But what’s not right is the bait and switch tactics by some of the big players.
Okay. Hoping the next one is truly free and unlimited.
Crikk
SEO Title: Unlimited Free Text to Speech Online Tool (2025)
Okay, so the title says “Unlimited Free” and users would click on it expecting unlimited free. Two words, zero confusion.
Crikk looked promising. There was no word limit displayed on their site after you clicked on the search result. So I proceeded to type in some text. No spoilers, but we reached the word limit in an unlimited app.
Apparently Unlimited is code for 1,200. Because that’s the limit with Crikk. The thing that is super blatant, is that they have the audacity to display a big button that says “No, I will reduce the length”.
How can someone design a product with this language after they promised unlimited baffles me.

Another “Login for more”. I’ve been burnt before by Luvovoice, but what the heck. Let me sign up to access this free and unlimited service. Crikk did have a 3000 word limit. Bait and switch.

Should I do the rest? Why not.
SEO Magnifier
SEO Title: Free Text To Speech Converter Online [Unlimited Text To mp3]

Woah. Woah. Woah. Not just free and unlimited tex to speech, but even MP3 downloads. I bet you this has a hoarde of people creating ridiculous lengths of MP3 files and SEO Magnifier is shelling out money for this resource without making a dime.
What do you know, we have a hero. SEO Magnifier does seem to offer an unlimited length of text and they also generated an MP3. No sign up required.

Now, I just pasted in about 4 minutes worth of text and I got the free download. I tried this twice. The second time, I pasted an even longer amount of text, but they converted it to MP3. This was about 19 minutes.
This is a psycho. I mean that as a compliment. So, if you want to convert your text to speech online, for free, SEO Magnifier is legit. The only downside is that it’s one voice. But, they are true to their word.
In the words of some singer I can’t remember, Thank you, next.

SEO Title: Text To Speech Online ❤️ FREE UNLIMITED
Aww. Love you too bud. How sweet, a heart emoji.

Anyone feeling the love clicking this would be taken to a well designed site. Clean. I dig it. But, below the text area to type in your text (what else?) you see the 0/2000 used characters.
Also, not sure how many new characters vs used characters are allowed. Don’t get it? Don’t sweat it, it wasn’t for you.

And that’s it for the listings on page 1 that actually said free and unlimited. The bait and switch is just cheesy SEO greed. Which is ironic, the website with the name SEO Magnifier was actually true to their word.
To be completely objective, I’d say, use them, instead of my crappy app.
